Valuing the driver AND their training experience

Wilson Driving School met the flexibility needs for our daughter and family. Mr. Wilson clearly stated the class requirements, was prompt with online teaching and for all behind the wheel appointments. He regularly communicated with parents. We are very pleased and definitely recommend him.

Trust your teen's driving education to a trusted local teacher

Hi, my name is John Wilson.

I'm a parent of two, and an educator and coach of over 23 years.

In experiencing the new driver milestone with my own teens, as well as working directly with parents and students as a teacher in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, I felt compelled to extend my calling to teach to driver's education.

It's my true privilege to offer family-focused, trustworthy driver's training to my neighbors across the Charlotte area.

Our Story

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our goal at Wilson Driving Schools is 100% client satisfaction.

If you are not satisfied with the driving experience, we will make it right.

When is my student eligible to take driver's education classes?

Students must be 14 1/2 years old to start classes. The state of North Carolina will not allow any exceptions. We suggest waiting until 3-4 months prior to your student's 15th birthday to start driver's education.

What does the driver education process entail?

The driver's education process at Wilson Driving School is composed of three steps.

  • Sign up for the course you want
  • Complete your registration
  • Meet with your instructor for onboarding

My student has completed 30 hours of classroom instruction at another driving school. Can Wilson Driving School help with behind-the-wheel?

Yes. Simply sign up here for our course option for behind-the-wheel only and we will obtain the classroom paperwork from your previous driving school during onboarding.

When can my student start the behind-the-wheel training?

Behind-the-wheel can start after students have completed 15 hours of classroom instruction and passed the first 10 chapter assessment modules. The driving schedule is on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is also given to older students. The final behind-the-wheel session cannot be scheduled until all classroom sessions and the final exam are completed.

What forms of payment do you accept?

Wilson Driving School accepts all major credit cards. A payment installment agreement can be arranged as long as full tuition is paid before the classroom instruction begins.

Where does the behind-the-wheel instruction take place?

The Charlotte Christian School campus off Sardis Road will serve as the meeting place for behind-the-wheel sessions.
